I'm Archana, a student at Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Creating art has been a passion of mine for over 8 years, and I have experimented with mediums like oil, watercolor, colored pencil, and charcoal. I remain constantly fascinated by the self-expression and symbolism that are made possible by visual art. In addition to creating artwork, I serve as a teacher's assistant at the Scottsdale Artist's School's Summer Youth Academy and a member of the AZ Youth Arts Council through the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
My exploration of art has allowed me to recognize its transformative power on children, ranging from skill-building to self-efficacy development. All net proceeds from personal artwork and greeting card sales will be donated to Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona, a non-profit organization that utilizes art programs to transform children's trauma to resilience. I encourage you to learn more about Free Arts and consider donating or becoming a volunteer mentor at freeartsaz.org.
